Top EdTech Conferences for 2018

In the past few decades, technology has become an increasingly large part of classrooms all over the country. With the transformation from traditional, lecture-led instruction to more blended and online learning, many educators have unanswered questions and/or ideas brewing about these changes. Some are surely questioning the value of bringing technology and blended learning into the school system, but there are many reasons to do so! What better way to learn the latest ideas and gain knowledge than to attend an edtech conference? There are many conferences throughout the year so choosing which one(s) to go to can be difficult. To help, here are our recommendations for the top edtech conferences for 2018.

FetC Future of Education Technology Conference

January 23–26, Orlando, FL

Every year, education professionals from around the world gather at the Future of Education Technology Conference (FetC) to explore new technologies, learn best practices, and address current issues. This year’s FETC is the 38th annual, and focuses on the increase for technology in the education community by featuring industry experts and offering over 600 learning opportunities. TCEA Convention & Exposition

February 5–9, Austin, TX

The 2018 TCEA Convention & Exposition brings together thousands of educators that share knowledge and resources to help transform the future for teachers and students. Amongst the attendees are administrators, curriculum and technology leaders, teachers, librarians, and edtech professionals. TCEA showcases over 1,000 sessions and hands-on workshops focusing on best practices for integrating technology, innovative ways of engaging students, heightening curriculum, and increasing productivity.

AASA National Conference on Education

February 15–17, Nashville, TN

The School Superintendents Association presents the National Conference on Education. This conference aims to educate and connect superintendents from around the country. It presents attendees with a great opportunity to build relationships with peers while attending challenging forums and listening to exciting speakers. The main themes of the conference are curriculum and instruction, digitizing education, leadership for equity, personalizing education, principal supervisor initiatives, and superintendent/school board relationships.

SXSW EDU Conference

March 5–8, Austin, TX
